Who We Are

We are a UK based E-Commerce firm, that is engaged in providing unique Indian Festive gifts and souvenirs to mark the celebrations and joy.

Brief history of Global Bappa

We are a group of passionate people representing the young generation of India and we strongly believe in the traditions and rituals of our roots. Living outside India, we feel the need to pass on the traditions, rituals and rich cultural heritage with its purity and sanctity. This current Global Pandemic where everyone is socially disconnected, made us more attached to our roots and how we celebrate our festivals. Global Bappa, thus created an online platform for everyone to share their cultural traditions and rituals globally.

We started our first global event with Ganesh Festival and with his blessing we came up with the name Global Bappa. After a year of successful events on our Facebook page and group, Global Bappa has now become a very big family. We Founders of Global Bappa are very delighted to have a big group of Family and Friends connected on an online platform.

About the Founder

Minakshi Dudhe Khodke is a Postgraduate with strong academic, professional experience and added stint of Entrepreneurial dreams. She has had a very traditional upbringing. Living in UK far away from family, she has missed being in India, especially during festival time. With her ideas and her Husband’s and few close friends’ guidance, love and support, her dream was turned into reality by founding Global Bappa. She is now ready to take a leap and launching a website where she hopes to create opportunities to small industries and NGOs to present their work and help them during Pandemic.

Absolutely loved the bhatukali that I brought for my 4 year old from Global Bappa. I couldn’t resist playing with them too as it so perfectly made that it took me back to my cherished childhood memories where I grew up watching my grandmother use these. My daughter was excited to see how it all works and is happy to include them in her modern toy kitchen…thank very much Minakshi & Amruta for bringing this brilliant gift here in the UK – in fact a legacy that I could pass on to my daughter even though they are just toys but very close to my heart.

I bought a bhatukli ( traditional Indian/Marathi toy kitchen set) from Global Bappa. It is so lovely and colourful. My child is engaged for hours. Also, it gave a chance to give a peek into old times and traditions.
